Well the new album has finally arrived. We are really proud of this new release, which was recorded over the last year or so in Tallahassee at Log Cabin Studio,
http://www.logcabinmusic.com . We recorded some of the tracks live in the studio, all together in one room, as a complete performance, bleed and all, and for others we utilized the full capacity that a multi-track studio allows.
We had several special guests grace the album with their incredible tones and talents.
Matt Grondin from Jacksonville (
http://www.incamaya.com) layed down some RIPPIN’ guitar work on the track Jamcruisin’. Also appearing on Jamcruisin’ is an incredible bassist, Andrew Altman, who now tours with the Codetalkers (
http://www.thecodetalkers.com/) He played a deep moog synth part on the track.
Jess Franklin (
http://www.tishamingo.com) played some real heartfelt slide on the track Friends.
Of course our often absent, behind the scenes “fifth Black Out”, Tony G. (
www.myspace.com/ancientharmony), played searing B3/Leslie on ALL the tracks.
Also, Dillon Bradley-Brown rocked the drums on two tracks, Jamcruisin’ and Wearin’ Out Women.
The album was mastered by Terry Manning
http://www.terrymanning.com http://www.compasspointstudios.com) in beautiful Nassau, Bahamas. Terry Manning is at this very moment Producing/Engineering the upcoming Widespread Panic album. Apparently he HAD to put that on hold just so he could work on OUR project ;-)
Finally big props to Alan Alovus, Full Black Out’s full time Art Director. Hope you all get a kick out of his work!
